Basic ECG Recognition for EMTs

The Falck Health Institute’s Basic ECG Recognition Course is a 5-week online program for EMTs designed to build foundational skills in cardiac rhythm recognition and assessment. It includes one week of prep work and four weeks of live Zoom instruction from experienced paramedics and faculty.

Course Description:

The Falck Health Institute's Basic ECG Recognition Course is designed specifically for EMTs who want to broaden their understanding of cardiac rhythm recognition and strengthen their cardiac assessment knowledge. While EMTs may not routinely interpret ECG rhythms as part of their scope of practice, understanding what is occurring on the cardiac monitor can improve patient assessment, enhance communication with ALS providers, and provide valuable insight into the underlying conditions affecting patients.

Attend 50% of all online lectures
Complete all course quizzes with at least an 80%
Complete the final exam with at least an 80%
